Cream Ridge Morgans
Updated 3/25/2012.
The Morgan brings you a horse with substance and speed, yet with beauty and refinement not found in other breeds.
We are located near Cavendish, Idaho about 14 miles northwest of Orofino, Idaho and have been raising registered Morgan horses on our farm since 1982.
Our horses carry some of the finest Champion Reining, Cow Cutting and proven Western Working Morgan bloodlines. We have combined the breeding of the Jackson Morgan Horse Ranch (Mortana Morgans), Ida-Ho Morgans, Waer, Roland Hill, L.U. Sheep and Cattle Co., Midnight Morgans and Beaver State Morgans are up-close in our horses. We have also added mares with Janzen Morgn Farm (JMF) bloodlines.
Roland Hill's Horseshoe Cattle Co.in CA and his TS Ranch in NV where Ray Hunt met Tom and Bill Dorrance (read The Western Horseman story here), the L.U. Ranch in WY, the Jacksons in MT, and Richard Sellman in TX all used their Morgan horses exclusively to work their large cattle operations. Most old timers that can remember say the Quarter Horse used today doesn't have the stamina the Morgan ranch horse did and aren't as nice looking either. These Morgan horses have proven to be some of the best western working stock horses of any breed. Ellsworth's Ida-Ho Morgans also used their horses for years as a hunting pack string in the high mountains every fall.

Mirzay is our retired stallion that we gelded about four years ago. Frank used him for his 4-H Horse project this year. (photo by Cynthia Beardin).
