The Morgan brings you a horse with substance and speed, yet with beauty and refinement not found in other breeds.
One advantage to buying a young horse from us, that has not yet been saddle trained is, you can get high quality for a lower price and you will realize more enjoyment and pride in ownership over the years that you will have this horse. We have bred for a long sloping shoulder, short back, medium length neck, deep girth, straight legs, short cannon bones, good feet, clean in the throat, a kind disposition and a big bright intelligent eye. Our horses have substance with refinement. They are not coarse or drafty in build or movement, but are smooth and elegant moving under saddle and light on their feet. We focus on breeding for correct Morgan conformation / "type" and how well they move under saddle and are able to give to the bit, not for the latest fad in color that does not look like a Morgan.
We start the human bonding process by imprinting our foals early and continue with good fundamental basics in halter, ground work and trailer loading. We have put a good amount of training into them all along the way. This is where you come in. YOU can start bonding and building trust with your new baby at a young age by continuing with their education on the ground. This way, by the time they are ready to be saddle trained, you and your horse are much farther along in your relationship with each other and trust is already there.

With 3 crosses to Senatefield and 5 crosses to Fleetfield, JC is rich in the Mortana bloodlines bred by Joel C. Jackson and sons at the Jackson Morgan Horse Ranch in Montana. We couldn't help but name this stylish colt after a legend in Morgan breeders. Check out the featured story of the Jacksons in the June 2010 issue of The Morgan Horse magazine by clicking here. We are honored to also be mentioned in this story.
JC is broad between his big beautiful eyes, loves people, is easy to handle and is built like a well balanced athlete. JC also has a cross to Hedlite's Micky Waer through our foundation mare Beaver State Pennant (Hedlite's Micky Waer x Tripenny). His dam is a Caduceus Montour daughter.

Cream
Ridge Misty (Ida-Ho

x Cream
Ridge Martina)
2008 bay filly, $1200. Offers considered. (Click on photo for larger picture) taken on 1/13/2012.

Misty is a full sister to our stallion Cream Ridge Marty. She should mature around 14.2 hands. With her kind eye and sweet disposition Misty has always been a family favorite. She faithfully follows us around the barn yard looking for a friendly pat and scratch behind the ears. Misty is very willing to learn and has already been started with ground work, trailer loading, etc.
Misty has 2 crosses to Mortana Pat , 2 crosses to Senatefield and 4 crosses to Fleetfield . Misty also combines Upwey Ben Don and Kingston into our other family lines. This bloodline brings a very kind, gentle disposition with it and a very correct "old Vermont Morgan" type of confirmation and classic Morgan look. This line seems to be consistent in the type and quality of offspring produced, when crossed with our bloodlines. Misty's sire, Ida-Ho Mr. T (owned by Ida-Ho Morgans) is out of the Champion cow cutting mare Ida-ho Mary Lynne .
Misty descends from the famous Hedlite's Micky Waer as well as old Brunk bloodlines, which both are up-close on her dam's side. Past Champion Western Working Morgans close in her bloodlines include Cream Ridge Mirzay, Ida-Ho Mary Lynne, Mortana Pat, Senatefield and Fleetfield.

Mortana Susanna (Caduceus Montour x Mortana Sandy) 2003 bay mare, 14.3 hands. $1500 in foal to Cream Ridge Marty package deal. (Click on picture or blue words for large photo)
We purchased Susanna from Bill Jackson of Harrison, Montana in 2006. The Jackson family has been breeding and using Morgans since the late 1800's on their large cattle ranch. We are thrilled with the foals that we are getting out of her. Check out the featured story
of the Jacksons in the June 2010 issue of The Morgan Horse magazine. We are honored to also be mentioned in it.
Susanna has had about 45 rides put on her when she was 3 to 4 years old. We are now keeping and breeding our younger mares and need to cut down on our herd, so we are offering her for sale.
